More pics...

Used to be a very active member here about 10 years ago... some of you might remember me. Well, the maxima has sat in the driveway relatively untouched since moving on to another daily driver (1987 Porsche 928). Just wanted to share some pics of my pride and joy in it's glory days. Memories of countless hours lying on the garage floor on a sheet of cardboard with oil-covered hands are bittersweet... the best times driving back roads of Indiana with the stereo cranked and windows down. Hopefully someone else can enjoy her as much as I have. All the best!

so pretty

Cotozic 04-27-2015 07:44 PM

Very nice car. For someone who is in the market for a car like this, I'm sure it will be given a great home.

It's also kinda funny to see a familiar site in the background of your photos.

its sad how few modified 3rd gens are still rolling around, that thing looks pretty sweet

matts95max 04-28-2015 05:46 AM

Great looking 3rd gen! Looks like a lot of time was put into it, very nice.

You seem like the type of person i wouldn't be scarred to let borrow my car. She's a beaut

ac max 92 04-28-2015 12:01 PM

Impressive engine bay. Looks nice. Very clean.

traxtar944 04-28-2015 12:29 PM

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Makes all the blood, sweat, and tears totally worth it.

ChrisMan287 04-28-2015 01:42 PM

Damn I could never let that thing go.

wish i had 6 grand to buy this beauty. but got too much tied into a project of my own already and twice as much as he is asking. hope whoever buys it takes very well care of this.

traxtar944 04-29-2015 07:57 AM

Thanks all. I have probably triple what I'm asking for invested in the car... especially if you count hours under the hood. Do you think $6K is a fair asking price?

The car has a TON of super rare parts, including almost every BlehmCo part available, Jeff92SE caliper brackets (thanks for the correction, friends!), and a 1 of 10 Fiber Images carbon fiber hood that has never been installed.

If anyone is interested, I am willing to sell the CF hood for $1000. It's beautiful.

Any assistance to get the word out on this sale to someone who can truly appreciate the car and take care of it is appreciated. It would kill me to sell it to some teenage kid that has no idea what they're doing. Thanks!

Beautiful car. It is bitter sweet to let go your pride and joy.:bawling:
You know what they say 'There is no life without change'

93VE30DE-TT 04-30-2015 01:31 AM

no dont take it wrong the price i can agree on it is well worth it. I just dont have that kind of money myself. As its already tied into a Maxima project of my own. As for the brackets they are jeff92se i believe who had been the guinea pig with his maxima in the past.

James92SE 04-30-2015 06:15 AM

$6k is of course fair for all the work/money/time you've put into it

BUT - the 3rd gen community is totally dead. So even though $6k may be fair, the odds are likely fairly small of finding a 3rd gen enthusiast with $6k he's willing to spend on one of these cars unfortunately. So it really goes back to the old saying that something is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it.

Wow you still have one of those original CF hoods? I was in on that original group buy too, which must have been at least over 10 years ago now. Mine started crapping out me after a couple of years in the Texas sun and I sold it.

And the z32 brackets were all Jeff

traxtar944 04-30-2015 07:11 AM

Thanks for the correction on those brackets. The hood still has the wooden supports bolted into the threaded inserts the struts attach to. Never even installed on the car! For the very reason James mentioned, I'd get another few coats of clear applied before installing it.

This gen was dying out 5 years ago... sad to see it become what it is today. I can say that I put up pictures all over Reddit and it got some amazingly positive responses (most people couldn't believe it is a Maxima). I still have hope people can see these cars for the diamonds that they are.

Tiniform 04-30-2015 04:59 PM

My love for these cars is still fresh as I only got my first one, a 92 gxe, about four years. I was blown away as to how well it drove and when it was totaled last June, I was lucky enough to find a 94 and I waste no time buying it.
This how I envisage mine looking but know it would cost way too much. If I had the funds, I would absolutely buy this car.
Good job, and I hope it finds a good home.

traxtar944 05-07-2015 06:55 AM

Just bumping this up to the top for attention. Thanks all!

3genube 05-20-2015 07:17 PM

nice pictures. This one is a keeper!

GRNMAXDMON 05-27-2015 05:38 PM

traxtar; haven't seen you on here for awhile. looking at the pictures of the painting process is pretty the same thing i went through almost 2 years ago. sucks that you have to let her go but i hope it finds a good home.

traxtar944 06-16-2015 12:57 PM

Bumping this to the top since it's hard to market. If you know anyone in search of a solid body and great mechanicals, this is a good buy. Thanks all!

tripleGmax 06-17-2015 07:59 AM

i remember this ride! looks great still!
