looks like a pretty good deal
not K&N filter I'm sure, but I doubt that would make much of a difference anyway

also, there's no difference in an 89max so it'll work for all 3rd gens :)

This set of MAF adaptor and filter has been selling on e-bay for a VERY VERY long time now. It's worth buying because not only do you get the MAF adaptor, but you get a crappy filter, I guess you can use that filter while you're saving up for a better one.

Check on e-bay, i think you may get it like 2 bucks cheaper.

www.ebaymotors.com search for "maxima intake"

The MAF adaptor for Nissans are all the same, so search around on ebay and you could find it cheaper selling for a Sentra, 240SX, Altima or other cars.

Yea i have seen these on ebay also...i had one then upgraded to a JWT intake which I saw was designed much better as far as the adapter goes and the filter seem much stronger...the ebay intake works fine though but i would upgrade when you get more cash

the nice thing about having the adapter is this, when you do your CAI, you can switch over to pop charger in the winter. . . . .:)

But is this better than the old air box

Something is something.. I am not to certian that 25 bucks or so will bring a whole new world of performance, but is it atleast better than stock.? Can you just add the K&N filter later on and use the clamps and bolts..? What make JWT perform ? Any gains with this cheap air filter popcharger?

Be wary, not all Nissan MAF adaptors are the same. I'd make sure that one is gonna fit first.

Jay, did you get the new style JWT filter with the dual cones, or is yours still the older style with just the flat chrome top? I need a darn part number for the new filter type (maybe it came in a separate box or something?).

Thanks!

dude, go down to auto zone, buy their cone filter for like 10 bucks, and your maf mounting bracket, which you already have, is in your stock airbox. it's the brass looking thing. this will destroy your air box but who wants that thing anyways. drill the 4 pop rivets out, then the brass piece will fall right out. get a wheel grinder and grind down the metal piece's flare-out thing and get it sized to the hole of the air filter and there you go. a cheeper than 25 dollar better flowing air filter. If you want pictures i'll have them tomorrow to show you exact steps on how to do it. it's easy.

edit: i can't remember but there may only be 2 rivets. it's either 2 or 4.
