Hi, i've been experiencing engine cut-off at idle, once in a while the engine just turns off by itself. While driving the engine seems to have power surges and it also causes the tranny to malfunction ( downshifting and upshifting in 1 sec intervals between gears on auto tranny). Tranny is fine i checked everything and changed every fluid.
Does anyone knows any engine diagnostic that i can run on my car, it's a 92 SE auto. Thanks for any suggestions

It could be the MAFS, mass air flow sensor, the teminals are known to be loose and make a poor connection. If you remove the clip, and unplug the connector then spray some contact cleaner, then on the connector side pinch down the connectors so that they grab the tabs better.
