Rear Strut Cartridge Removal

Okay, I got the gland nut off, and took out the o-ring, but the old cartridge is stuck...am I missing something?

You have to pull....once you take out the cartridge it is useless... it will come apart....just tug on it.

theres this black o ring you have to pull out first
take a pocket screwdriver and pull it out
and the whole strut assy should just fall out

Make sure you are carefull when you pull or you will get that nice old oil all over yourself.
