i want to get 5000 for mine. i just have chrome 18's with eibachs and tokicos. 92 SE 5spd. its clean though and i just got a tune-up, new injector#3, and some other stuff done to it. pearl white with a couple of dings. 116k miles on it. am i asking too much also?
i see stock ones going for over $5k sometimes over $6k. i dont see why ours shouldnt sell and our price.
good luck selling yours. i need a quick sale so i can buy neighbors 96 Impala SS.

i am at school right now in bowling Green, Ohio. I'm from pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. So i go back and forth every once in a while. hence the miles on my car. they seriously are mostly highway. anyway, that it.

i don't have a stock exhaust. i am not pulling the tranny to get teh flywheel. I don't have belts for the normal pulley (most were shot anyway), stock rims are WAY beat. putting old springs back on will suck. . . . . i dunno. i probably should. . .

It will be very, very hard to get that much for that car.
Here is what Edmunds gives you for a 92 SE 5 speed with all options, 138k miles and clean condition:
Trade in: 2,897
Private party: 3,676
Dealer retail: 5,051
In most cases I find this to be pretty accurate... Unfortunately, modifications will matter little if at all to most buyers, that's just the way it is. The car is over 10 years old with fairly good milage.. People buying used cars try to stay close to 100k. Or even below. Mods are a turn-off to people who are not buying it for purpose of modifying it, most people feel the car has been abused. I got 4,900$ for my 93 blue SE automatic almost a year ago, that is with nothing but brand new aftermarket 16s with new rubber, clear corners and tint. Also a fresh transmission rebuilt and a bunch of other repairs with all receipts presented.. It had 106k at the time.. I was getting offers for 2-4 grand.. I was asking 5,700$.. I was happy to get what I got out of it. Your best bet is finding someone who will appreciate the modifications and know their value.. Otherwise, it's not as easy. Selling a car that is over 10 years old in most cases will hardly make you any $, unless it has really low miles or it's European
Good luck with your sale dude.

i plan on asking 4k for mine as is...no performance mods besides intake and muffler. It is dropped, but oh well. Bmw lights and system will be kept with the car too. 162k miles, but the car is really clean, just have to replace cv axils..friday and bumpers need to be painted.

I'm wanting to sell my car whenever I find a VQ or VE five speed with decent mileage. I want to sell while I'm still in high school as I think I would have a better chance of one of my peers buying it. High school kids seem to think that mods add value to the car. I will probably have to part it out though if I can't find any takers. I'm hoping for around 6k with mods.
I was gonna go all out with this car, but I've decided to stop modding completely and spend nothing on this car except for gas.
