VE: Timing BELT or timing CHAIN???

VE and VQ = chain (92-94 SE only, 95+ all)

VG = belt (1989-1994 GXE only, not sure about pre-1989)

why is the Chain better than the belt?

Its more reliable
Low maintenence

Con's
It weighs a helluva lot
Aftermarket cam gears won't work great with it
Overlooked in maintenence..
