Blown auto vlsd from a totaled 97 infiniti I30t
Purchased in nov 2006 installed in dec 2006 with 100kmiles Destroyed july 2007.
The car felt like it was stuck in 4th gear/ no reverse
While replacing it with another vlsd I decided to pull the pan
Metal shavings & chunks of metal.
I know .
But if you dont know what a auto vlsd is You shouldnt be buying one.
FYI the vlsd is very good in snow & rain especially in turns and up hills.
This is perfect for some one who is getting a "performance" Bulletproof" tranny built.
I was planning on rebuilding it but decided to leave my wifes auto for cruising & my 5spds for bruising.lol
This trans is hard to find in the NE. A lot of junk yards dont even know what they have." theres no such thing"
And those that do know,
want a arm & a leg regardless of the mileage & condition
When I found the replacement vlsd the guy quoted a open diff trans so I got lucky
by the time he understood my short explination & description of the vlsd he had already taken the money & given me the receipt.lol
