i think his is new...you arent gonna find these sold by a company new, hence the "custom made" part

I know they're custom (by stephen), I just haven't searched how much ppl were paying for a un-used one...Anyways might just run the 5th gen IACV, read that adjusting the idle's a pita. thanks

So I have always wondered about this, if I have the 2000 upper, lower, fuel rail and injectors, and tb, is this the only other thing I need? Ready to buy also.
Thanks
Zack

it all depends on how you want to rig it up, you could use the 00 iacv and not use this. as far as i know this adapter plate makes it easier to hook up the iacv. however then you will need a block off plate with vacuum lines for below 00 TB where the 00iacv goes.

and also when you say is this everything i need...you could also use a 00 rear valve cover and rear ignition coils or you could customize the 4th gen ones.

also you will need a 00 egr guide tube or a block off plate for that too.

it all depends on how you want to rig it up.

and also you will need some sort of rpm switch ofcourse

...damn i cant wait to finally be able to afford an 00vi, ive done so much research....for some reason i just bought a snow board instead...

Well, I bought mine new from StephenMax a few years ago (don't recall the price), but the one being sold here certainly isn't the same design. Mine has a circular relief about an inch-and-a-quarter in diameter machined on the face that marries up to the IACV, and a single hose nipple in the middle of that coming out the back side. For the life of me I don't understand why you'd want or need 2 hose nipples on the back: there's only one function that the IACV performs, and even then lots of guys have a hard time figuring out where to hook up one hose to the UIM (let alone two).
Don't see any reason why this one wouldn't work, but why the 2 hose nipples is a mystery.

I had a hard time getting the 3.5 swap to idle right, so I decided to try something new.....

do you happen to have gasket for iacv?

goldtooth Dec 6, 2007 04:53 AM

no, but you can go to an auto parts store and get a sheet or a roll of gasket material and trace the outline and cut one urself, thats what i did.
