What's the best way to remove the honeycomb from a '95/'96 grill?
 

After being on my to-do list for x months, I'm finally getting around to removing my '96 honeycomb today to replace it with some diamond grilling I bought a while ago. For those that might have done this already (ex. yellowbrother), what tool(s) did you use? I was thinking a saw with a skinny blade but perhaps there is a better way? Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I didnt remove the original grill. I put the mesh over it.

Just take the grill off and see what you can do.

Right, I thought of that. But I want the 'sunkin-in' look. Just like I am putting my diamond grille for the bumper air dams behind the openings, I wanted to do that with the grill. Anyone else? If no one has a better idea, I'm just going with a coping saw. Thanks.

Well, I just used a coping saw and then filed it a little after I cut it. It looks so bad a. all hallowed out. :) I now have to get my grille cut out and installed. I did the ones for the bumper tonight.
