having a helluva time w vortech v1

I have been trying for a week to simply change the belt on my vortech v1--Not
WD40 helped me get the large bolts out after a few days.
bought a hex set for the smaller bolts (broke)
brought the charger to a mechanic (he broke his tool)
brought it to a machine shop (they spent 4-hours on 3-bolts and finally got them out):D
for $100.00 and the manager said i may need a few new bolts:mad:
Anyone else had this problem before?
dayummm:(

There are certain bolts on that thing you are NOT supposed to take off, they're locktighted on. Which ones did you have them remove?

Just the bolts that attach to the plate so i can replace the belt

I had the same problem, I think I even emailed you before about how I had a nut welded to the top of the bolts. I hope you dont have to buy new bolts, they dont look like they are something that you are going to pick up at your local hardware store, and Stillen wont sell them to you if your not the original owner, so you'd have to find someone to buy them for you. Lucky I can still use all my bolts, althought they have nuts welded to the top of them. Loctit will never go on those bolts again!
