INTAKE and EXHAUST

i have a 95 gle and i am looking to put an intake and exhaust on it as soon as possible but i dont know what company to go with. as far as the intake is concerned i want as much power as possible from it(i heard that CAI would be the best is that true)i also looked for a ram air for a max but i cant find it anywhere is one made or not? now the exhaust i want it to sound loud as hell, but i want it to sound like a big block NOT a rice burner! any recomendations about the company to go with?

Frankencar intake
Warpspeed aluminized y-pipe
Car-Sound Cat
Apexi WS Catback

this should put 10-15+HP to the wheels and sound fantastic, classy, quiet at idle, not ricey and ricers will know not to mess with the maxima when you go WOT. If you do your own install, all this should be less than $1000.

IMO the best way to go is as follows...
Frankencar midpipe ($65)
Generic HAI ($30)
WSP metallic substrate cat($185)
WSP Y-pipe ($250)
Custom cat-back ($350)
________________________________

Total: $880 and 1 very efficient air flow system! Don't for get a good suspension (springs/struts/both stbs/rsb) and you're set!

i fully agree, wsp has a deal for $325 for mandrel bent aluminized y-pipe with lined flex section, and the car sound cat, that is a great deal IMO. then get the apexi catback and you have a full exhaust system. match it with a frankencar and you are set!

How is the sound of the Greddy SP compared to the Apex WS?
The deeper, more throatier sound is what I'm after, but not obnoxiously loud.

the greddy is loud, and having seen it in person on a friends max, i think it is kinda ricey

the apexi is sexy looking, quieter overall, not at all ricey looking\sounding and sounds fantastic at WOT

Frankencar is having a group deal. Good time to buy and save a few bucks.

So search the group deal forum.
