Don't plan to lower car what size of rims to get

hey guys i need a little advice i dont plan to lower my car so if i put 17" or 16" wheels on my car would that raise the CG or should i stick to regular 15" wheels and keep my car balanced

NickStam Jul 28, 2002 11:43 AM

when i got bigger rims the ride height went from like 25.5" to 25.6". IT's not really a big deal.

Nealoc187 Jul 28, 2002 02:07 PM

Don't get 17's if you are never going to lower your car, it will look rediculous. The apparent wheelgap will be atrocious.

pro Jul 28, 2002 02:25 PM

I have 17s on my non lowered car and I should really lower it. It is better then 16 or 15. So if you can choose between 15, 16, or 17s get 17s.
Good Luck,
Paul

JetBlackMax Jul 28, 2002 10:11 PM

If you wanna be the man, do this. Cut out your fendors in the front and on the back, cut out them to, right benind the back windshield. Then put some 24's on there, and ride like a truck. Dont say its imposible, anyting is possible :)

Vyrus Jul 28, 2002 10:33 PM

16" or 20".

ill do it if yu provide the dough for the operation all right and would someone please give me a straight answer whether i should stick to stock wheels or get some new 16" or 17" wheels cause i aint gonna lower my car

Nealoc187 Jul 28, 2002 11:44 PM

I had my 17s on for a few days before I lowered my car... it looks retarded trust me. Go with 16's if you arent going to lower it. 15" aftermarket wheels are dumb on a car this large. If I were you I'd just get some stock 16" SE wheels.

Or go with the 2000+ SE wheels... they are 17s, kinda stock and look nice.

17's on non-lowered Max

Here are some pics of my Max, 17" Konigs, stock SE suspension. I dont like the wheel gap, and would like to drop it about 1.5", but i'm waiting for money and also a good recommendation of springs/struts that wont severly stiffen the ride.

I'm riding stock too, but everyone seems pretty happy with the H&R AGX combo. AGXs are adjustable so you can make as stiff as you like.

16's or 17's......I have 17's...

Yeah I'am trying to do same! I have 18's but the gap looks a little to wide for me, but I would like to keep the same ride nothing to stiff if you catch my drif, nothing to bumpy of a ride please  :bawling:

ny96max Aug 5, 2002 09:16 AM

if your now gonna lower your MONSTER TRUCK, get 18's. They will help elminate that gap just a lil!
