Alternator replaced , now Engine light on, any ideas?
Help!! Has anyone else been through this?
About a month ago, my alternator died seemingly without warning. I had the alternator replaced and all seemed well...about 5 days later the Check Engine light came on. I accessed the panel in the floor, got my code and put it in the decoder. It came back "NO Failure detected". I double checked the code and it was correct so I just reset the light. Again, I drove for 5 days without incident then the light came back on! The car is not driving poorly and is not exhibiting any problems beyond the light coming on.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why the light keeps coming on? Could it be related to my alternator being replaced?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!
