Installing Automatic Tranny Cooler

I have a 98 GXE and I have gone to 2 mechanics to get an B&M automatic tranny cooler installed and both told me it could not be installed properly.
Properly Meaning: It could not be installed without the hoses passing underneath the bottom frame. I do not like this idea ( nor did the mechanics) because if I were to go over a curb it could damage the hose...thus leading to bigger problems if I don't catch it right away.

I have reviewed the installations instructions provided on the site and the pictures look like it is goes below the frame also. I also did a search this was never discussed.

Does anyone know of a different route to put the hoses through?

Thx in advance,
novice

p.s. I know the simple solution don't hit anything(HAHA)

When I installed my hayden 2 weeks ago, I just cut the hoses to length and ran them straight around the radiator to the left side, through the bottem. It shouldnt drag if you put the undercarriage cover thingy back on. The install shouldnt be too different than the how 2's on the org
