Correct Tire pressure for 18x8 235/40 tires

Does anyone know what the correct tire pressure is for 235/40 18x 8 tires. Just got them installed with Eibach's and KYB AGX's.

Thanks:D

Thats a pretty low profile tire. I'd run 35/32 cold.

Under Pressure

On the side of my tires it says 44 psi max. I called Nitto and they said the number on the side is what you should have in there. So I get my tires good and warm and then make sure there is 44 psi in there. My gf has 205/40/17's with a recommended psi of 50 and you can definately feel if there is only 40 in there. Slopier handling & harsher ride. For you, I think 35 would be too soft and risk possible rim damage. But then again, what the hell do I know?:gotme:

The key to the sidewall rating is 44 psi max. You don't want to inflate it to that number.

Thats what I always thought, but not according to the rep at Nitto. Thats why I drive the car a while and then inflate. That way the air is good and hot whats in there will be the max pressure. It's probably at like 41 psi when cold (44 hot). The ride is much better than 32 psi and my tires aren't wearing unevenly so it seems to be working. If anybody knows for certain I would love to hear from you. I'm just going on what the guy told me.
