Just Installed KYB AGX's today, Man oh man....

As Soon As I installed them, I couldnt belive how the ride was. I cant belive this wasnt my very first mod for this car. I have them paired up with the Maxspeed Lowering springs. My settings are at 3 for the front, and 6 in the back. man I love it, a bit stiff and the handling is sooo great. I noticed something weird though. It illimanated all the noises I had, but there is this very new noise. Sounds like a little squeeking noise from the rear strut on the right hand side. I was thinking maybe I gotta spray something on it maybe. Then again it was raining today, so maybe i gotta wait a little bit to wear them in. Anyone had this problem?

Thanx!

Nick

Yup, I installed the same setup a few days ago (see other thread). Anyway, that noise is probably the spring settling into the strut, into the plate (or guard) thing at the bottom. It may do that for a few days. I also noticed (as expected) a few squeeks and rattles have been amplified a bit. Mostly from the plasticy pieces of the dash, like around the clock area. I may try to seal the up a bit with some silicon gel stuff or make some little gasket type things. Anyway, those are pretty stiff settings bro. I've got it at 2/4 or 3/4. Be careful setting the back to 6 or higher when taking quick turns until you're used to it, the tail will step out pretty easily. You can introduce some oversteer without much effort. I hope you have good tires :) Have fun man!

Well, Found out what the little squeek was. Had something to do with the brake pad in the back, because i was previously Burnin them up messin with the WOT from the Frankencar midpipe! :) Very satisfyed with that also, sounds not there anymore with the squeek. Yeah I have it set at 3 in the front, 6 in the back. I love it, Its nice and stiff, feels tighter. Not a Harse Ride at all. And I do have brand new Nankang tires :).

I wanna thank the guys on this board that thought of wraping the front springs in that Wire Wrap from Radio shack. Did that, and I have no sounds at all from the springs in the front. And I mostly wanna thank this whole org and the ppl on it because if I didnt knwo about this board, Im sure I wouldnt have just about anything I have on my max now. The AGX's are by far the best Mod I have put on my car, Im soooo impressed with these babys. Recommend them to anyone!

Thanx all, I really appreciate it :)

Nick
