How-To's: Changing Manual Transmission Oil (Lots of Pics/Description)
For those of you who have been trying to to find more pictures and description of how to go about draining & re-filling you MT tranny box, check out my How-to change MT Fluid write up. I think the details and pictures are fairly comprehensive. If you have any comments/suggestions on how to make it better, please let me know & I'll incorporate the changes as appropriate.
[NOTE] In my case, I opted for the Red Line MTL GL-4 fluid so that shifting in the winter (I'm in Toronto, Canada) will be a bit easier (hopefully!). I know many folks have used Red Line's MT-90 GL-4 fluid. So far, I've found it to make the shifting a LOT smoother!! cheers :) |
