JUST KIDDING! That's how I wish it looked. Anyways I'm going to cut a coil or two. The ride right now is soft and stock like so I feel if I cut two dead coils in the back and one live coil in the front than my ride should stiffen up to the perfect ride quality.

BrianV Dec 29, 2000 11:08 AM

BTW that's a photoshop job!

It looks real good but if I where you I would not cut the springs if you want it lower just get springs/coilovers that will be made for a lower ride instead of cutting the springs that is dangerous, man!

Cutting Springs? Good luck with that. Why don't you just put the Eibachs back in? BTW, I think my 99 was the same height when I first put in the H&R's.

BrianV Dec 29, 2000 05:34 PM

The Eibachs sagged. I'd rather have a high neutral car than one that sags.

Have patience. Your Max will drop over time. Like I said, it takes a month to fully drop. BELIEVE ME!!! In one month, I went from hardly anything to nearly 1.7".

If you cut your springs, you might as well throw them away or use them as paper weights. On the ST springs, the fronts are linear rate whereas the rear are progressive. You will completely destroy the characteristics of the springs. Plus, only Riceboys cut springs. You'll be hopping and bouncing around like the Riceboys.

It's pretty soft now, and I've cut springs before and the rides never get bouncy if u got good shocks. I figure it will just stiffen up a little bit. I'm not doing anything for about 2 months though. I want to wait till they settle to the right height.

Kashoggio Dec 29, 2000 11:12 PM

the back looks too low

dayum.......

thats some good photoshop skills...why dont you try getting the sprint springs...2'' drop.:)

BrianV Dec 30, 2000 01:52 AM

I'd rather have no springs than Sprints. Well not really, but I'd rather have cut than Sprint.

AznStevie Dec 30, 2000 08:27 AM

why not sprint?

can u tell me why not sprint? because i just ordered it =\

BrianV Dec 30, 2000 11:25 AM

They're gonna be real stiff at that height. Also, in my experience with Spring on Honda's they tend to settle at all different heights and provide a very spongy, bouncy ride.

However, I know that Nabil guy who tested the Sprints and I'm sure he got Sprint to make the best spring they can make.
