torn..... altezza's vs. red clears
 

right now i have altezza's on my car. i like how they look when my car is on at night but my car is black and i love that sleek nice look redclears give. my problem is i was gonna get redclears for christmas, but dont they only come with the outter part?? and right now i have altezza's on my car and since i bought my car with altezzas i dont have the stock lights. so my question is........

do i buy the stock lights for some odd money, then spend another $200 for redclears, or do i just put up with the altezza's and continue making the rest of my car beautiful???

Yes, get the red clears. I am sure if u go to a junk yard of some sort or even look in ur local classifieds, you will see them for under $200. Plus then u can sell the fugly lights and maybe even turn a profit, you never know. G'luck

well my friends dad owns a junk yard. hes helping me get the necesary parts for my 5speed swap, so maybe i can have her tell her dad to find me some stock 97-99 maxima lights.

your profile says that u have a black max.......pefect!!! - have your altezza housings painted body colored - it looks pretty good when its either black or white - all the other colors suck IMO with this mod

Also ebay has the inners sometimes.
Tinted red/clears

go with red clears or if you have the chrome Altezzas change to the carbon fiber,black chrome or the Gen 2's carbon fiber,black chrome

This guy's car is looking hot!! I especially like the tinted clears in the back... and whats the AMB button? :confused:

thanks for the compliment. and the AMB tells me the outside temp, it came standard on the 99 ACC, but they left out the button on 98's even thought the button was on the circuit board

nothing like a great set of altezzas...i mean that is why u bought the altezzas in the first place right?? cus they look very goood!!!

I personally like the red/clears the best, but if you
decide on altezza's get the black chrome or carbon fiber
ones because the chrome altezza's on a black car stand
out like a sore thumb and look rice,:smash: not nice. Or if you
want to keep the ones you have you could do the skyline
taillight mod. (which looks very good on black cars imo)
Run a search for skyline taillight to find pics.

I agree totally. Keep the altezzas buying the regular oem lights will cost too much just to make your car look stock again. Rice all the way baby!

i recently put on some red/clears on my 95 and took off my altezzas..oh man, my car looks SO much better now. it changes the way i think of my car. you can get stock lights for real cheap if you look hard enough. it will be worth it, trust me. sell the rice.
