Potenza S02's anyone?
Anyone have Bridgestone Potenza S02's on their car? I just saw this tire at a dealer today, and they're awesome looking. My rear's are going soon, so I'll be moving my Sumitomo HTR+'s to the back, and looking for a new pair up front. These S02's got some real nice tread setup, and at 225/50/16's they look darn wide. Any comments?

VERY HEAVY TIRE.
When it gets to like 50 degrees or below with rain they become Slick and Plastic like Tonka Truck tires. but...Summer...they will stick to the pavement like Velcro. |
I have them 245/35-19
they are great tires in the dry, never driven them in the wet but I am really happy with them- however.. they dont last very long, but you should be able to get a steal on them because they have been phased out by the S03s |
I've got em on my S. They don't last long, but stick like nobody's business. Wet weather conditions can be scary(or fun) depending on how you drive. FYI, S03s should be equal in performance as well.

Originally posted by Zam I have to disagree here. I live in uber-cold Germany and was just having a few fast blasts down my favorite twisty roads. No huge change in grip & I still had a hard time cutting the tires loose. Zam Wet traction is awesome as well. I'm not sure what those guys are saying above, but it takes some very aggresive driving to get them uncontollably loose in the rain. They are 10X better than my Pirrellis P7000. |
I have those tires on since last summer.. It performance awesome in hot weather and does indeed stick like glue. In the rain there ok but they definitely suck in the snow.

4D-Sport (Barry Chafin) has had these in the past and loved 'em, especially in wet weather.
He switched to the S-03PP for wet and Falken Azeni for dry, I think. |
