Sunroof won't go up will only slide out. Please help.
 

Recently my sunroof only will slide out but not slide up like it used to. Sometimes I just like to pick it up for a little air not slide it out. When I press the button it does nothing at all. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it.

Sounds like an electrical problem. Take it apart and take a look at it! I know there are some writeups about "how to make the sunroof open in one touch of the button" If you look that up, it'd have directions on how to take apart that panel and you can take a look at it if there's any loose connections. Or at least take a picture of the panel so ppl here on the org can see if we can determine what's up w/ it.

the left side of mine is frozen. when my girlfriend and i were on our way to six flags over the summer, i opend it and wehn i went to close it, it wouldn't close all the way so it's stuck open just a little bit. i called around and the only place that would even take a look at it is the nissan dealr. they told me it is frozen and parts alone are gonna cost me $700. :goofy:

700 for the whole sunroof cause I don't think they sell it in pieces. Might check salvage yards for parts if you know what is wrong with it.

$700 for new parts. he said they have to take out the headliner, and get a "sunroof repair kit". the whole thing sounded like a load of BS. i found a guy that has his own shop and he used to work for nissan as a mechanic. he laughed when i told him what they told me and told me to bring it in. it ticks me off though cause that is money i could be spending on mods not repairing the damn sunroof!
