Are 97-99's any quiter then 95's?
Did Nissan ever do anything to make them quiter inside while driving?? If so what year did that start???

your max is loud, stock?
|
Mine is, but I was thinking of putting some sound-absorbant material inside the wheel wells under the splash guards.. something like that foam stuff they have in sound studios (I can't remember what it's called). Think this will help at all, or is it a waste of time?

it shouldnt be, i mean, i have a 95, granted i have deadened the hell out of it now, but even before i deadened it, it was not too loud. my guess is it is your tires. what kind do you have?

You should look for the member named SWEETSOUND2001. He did an intense sound deadening on his 4th gen Maxima. Ripped the whole interior out and dampened everything. He had PICs on his website, too.

I did check out SWEETSOUND2001's stuff, but I don't have the time or money (or energy, really) to do all that stuff. I'm hoping I can lessen the noise with a minimum of effort :) |
See, Im too lazy to do all that, haha, not really but that was a lot, I was just wondering if Nissan did anything.
My tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE750's.....they're not bad it just seems my max is noisy, even compared to my friends like 92 honda, his is way quiter! |
