My Maxima won't stay running If I don't warm it up....
I have to crank my Maxima up and let it run for about 20 mins or until it warms up to normal operating temperature before I can drive off. If I don't when I shift from Park to any gear it shuts off immediately and shakes(or shudders) real bad. But it runs real smooth when I let it warm up properly(not like I'm trying to jump right in it and drive off as soon as it starts up) But I cannot go anywhere until it is warmed up. If it is not up to the right temp then it shuts off. S I have to start it back up and let it run(idle) for few more minutes then drive off.
 Thank You Fellas For Any help. -Will |
try cleaning the throttle body. Everytime i would start my car, it would automatically turn off until i pressed the gas for a bit, but i recently cleaned the TB and it starts up fine now...i know its a little different in your case but you might wanna try that, hope it helps

If it's not going into "fast idle" when you first start the car, something might be wrong with the cold start program.

I also have similar problem. My car's engine always shut off right after it's turned on... And this usually happen in the cold day. I have already change the TB switch, cold start switch and airflow meter, but still, the problem is not fixed yet... Any suggestion?
