Making the shifter tighter, shift bushings?
I installed shifter bushings on my previous car and loved the way that they made the shifter more direct and solid, is there anything like this for the max? I know that there is a short shifter but I was wondering if there are bushings or something to make is not feel so sloppy.

energy suspension sells bushings. If you can't find an application for your max, look up sentras and altimas...all use the same bushings.

Cyrus thanks for suspension.com that place has great prices, is the sentra shifter the same as ours? would those bushings work on the max really? I got # 7.1103G for 91-01 sentra and 200SX fromthe link from ThurzNite, if so $12 bucks or so is not bad at all to get rid of some slop in the shifter.. thank you for all the replies

I'd call Tustin Nissan or some other nissan to verify. But from what I hear of my Altima buddies, the sentra and 200sx bushings worked for them. I've cross referenced Altima shifters with Maxima shifters, so I believe nearly all nissan sedans share the same bushings.
