noise under load HELP! It's driving me crazy (and that is not a long drive)
 

OK,
This is really pi$$ing me off. This sheeeeeEEEEEEEEE (that is the best I can describe it starts low and gets louder just before it quits) sound is only under a LOAD. It WILL NOT do it revving the engine static, I had a new alternator put on under recall, just checked the tensioner and it was loose as a goose. AH HA! thought I had found it. Tighten it up, go for a drive, just like it was!! $hit! It kinda sounds like a belt, but wouldn't a belt squeal from just revving the engine? OR exhaust leak, had a Y pipe installed not too long ago too and the F ing monkeys did EXACTLY what I told them not to,(result? some broke $hit, I did not find till later!) so it would follow that they did something else wrong. I just don't get why it's only under load at certain RPM's??? put it in second (autotragic) and push it to the right rpms and it makes the noise, to high it quits, to low it dosen't do it either.....HELP. IT's driving me NUTS!! Dosen't seem to affect drivability tho.....just annoying as hell. Your car does not sound good when it sounds like somethings WRONG with it, it's even louder than the Stillen intake! Definately comming from the right side of the car....I can't tell if it's engine compartment or just under the pass. seat (why I think exhaust leak....maybe?...cat bolts to y there)
