Monroe Sensatracs or pay an extra $50 for KYB's? (for 1995 SE)

Not sure what to do. I hear the KYB's are more performance oriented. Which strut would work better with the H&R sport springs?

KYB's would definitely be the better choice - especially if you're lowering your car.

Thanks for the reply, I suspected so, but am not sure exactly why - is it just because they have a stiffer valving?

i think the monroe's are more of an OEM replacement, i dont think they're made to support aftermarket springs

$50 in the long run is not a whole lot to pay. If the Monroe aren't stiff enough for the H&R, your ride will be terrible and they may be more prone to failure. KYB GR2's are as stiff or slightly more stiff than stock SE shocks/struts so are well mated to H&R spring.

I have AGX's on my Progress springs, and IM telling you the ride is just like stock if not smoooooother!!!! I love it. My settings are 2/3. I just wish my drop was a tad bit more but the ride being so smooth while handling awesome is worth it!

I put the Monroe's in my wife's Max and they suck. Very soft, wish I'd payed a few extra bucks for the KYBs, but hey, it's the wife's car! :-)
