Mudflap install...duh question I know...

I haven't seen them yet, but I have 4 used mudflaps sitting at my parents house waiting to be installed on my car. Can anyone tell me what hardware I am going to need to install them? I remember putting them on my 3rd gen required some screws and washers from a hardware store (pretty ghetto looking if you ask me). Any instructions posted somewhere already? thanks!

If the rock protector strips are still on your car, (black strips where the mud flaps would go) then all the screws/hardware you need is already on your car. The black rock guards come off, use the same screws you take off to get them off to install your mud flaps.

ive got the 'rock guards' on the car so ill just take them off, and use the screws to mount the mudflaps. Anyone want to buy a used set of 4 rock guards? lol

Do you have to remove the wheel, or can you install the mud flaps with the wheels on?

I had a very small but large(yea) screw driver that fit between the wheel and the mudflap so yes and no.

sweet

I have this same midget of screw driver (two in fact)! Theyre great for things like this. About 1" long handle/tip and a nice 3 inch circumference to get a good grip on it. Hopefully I wont have to take the wheels off just to put flaps on because I know if I end up taking them off I'll say "oh what can I do while Im down here" and my car will be on lifts for at least a day or 2 while I tinker and do totally unnecessary things.
