Here's the problem: my battery keeps dying due to some drain on it. The alternator is OK. The car has to sit still for 2 days to die also. The security fuse is pulled from under the hood, and there is nothing else on when the car is off. The security light blinks when the door is OPEN, and when it is closed it goes off. When I arm the system with or without the fuse in the light turns on solid red. Could the security system be drawing power all the time, or is it something else that I can't figure out? I asked the guys at the Nissan dealership and they said that I had a strange problem that they'd never seen. I'm really gettin sick of this crap. On cold nights the batterys gone (this is my third battery too). Thanks

something must be drawing power. Are you sure it's not your alternator? You could disconnect the battery and let it sit there the normal time that it dies...then reconnect it and see if it starts. If it starts fine, then you know there is a short or something. If it doesn't start, it could be the alternator

If I disconnect the battery it won't discharge. It's got a real slow drain on it when it's connected.
