What's your preference: KYB GR2s or Tokico Blues?
I'm about to FINALLY lower my ride with some MaxSpeeds and so I need
new struts/shocks...While everyone says "AGX ALL THE WAY", I don't need adjustable shocks and don't plan on paying for it. I just want a soft ride with a lowered car. So, if the price was EXACTLY the same, would you pick KYB GR2s or Tokico Blues? Remember -- I want soft! Thanks! FLO_BOY |
With aftermarket springs I would be worried to ride on either of those. But since those are my only choices, I would go with the Blues.

Originally posted by Vyrus Most aftermarket springs have higher rebound rates that stock since they lower the car. Therefore you need a stronger strut to take the harsher impact. -Cyrus Not having enough damping is just like riding on blown shocks, trust me, get adjustables and adjust them correctly. A lot more information is here: http://drewm.dyndns.org/~drew/maxfaq...ximaSuspension |
well Tokicos suck, IMO, and I had a terrible experience with them blowing up at auto-cross.

Thanks everyone!
I'll let you know how it turns out... cheers! :) FLO_BOY |

Flo_boy, i currently have the maxspeed/GR2 combo...i like the way my car handle and ride now...it'll be more stiffer than stock meaning when going over bumps....
|
98coupv6,
do you get any sag in the rear with passengers and some luggage with your setup? |

George;
I've got Eibachs & GR2's. I paid $442.75 (taxes in) at Budget for my GR2's - you may want to consider getting new mounts & boots for the GR2's. ($140+taxes @ Budget) I can meet you downtown if you like a ride to check it out. Mark (the other white 4th gen 5speed in Toronto) |
