Just recieved my new Megan Racing exhaust
Well the UPS man brought me a big present today, my new Megan Racing cat-back came in today. Looks very nice, all polished stainless steel, it may be a little on the loud side by the looks of it but it does have a resonated b-pipe and a removable silence, so I think it will sound good. I will let you guys know on fitment and sound after I get it installed tomorrow.

BTW you need to update your sig pic, it says 14.1 @ 99 but your sig says 13.9 @ 103.5

And BTW, just to let all the 97+ owners out there know there is not a place for your O2 sensor in this b-pipe so you would have to get one added.

I don't think you can just thread the hole, I doubt the metal is thick enough. I think you would need to get a O2 bung welded onto the exhaust, so it's not something an average person can do. But you can take it to an exhaust shop and it shouldn't be expensive.

Ok well there has been a slight delay of my progress due to the 2 cat bolts not wanting to come off, but I did bolt up the rear section to my stock b-pipe with removed resonator, and surprisingly it is not that loud. It should sound really nice with the resonated b-pipe it came with, the only problem so far is one of the hangers on the muffler didnt quite fit in the stock location, but that is an easy fix.

Ok well sorry for the long delay on the responses. First off this kit is well made, and all the bends are in the correct place. There is one major fitment issue however, the b-pipe when on its hangers ends up sitting about 6" away from the cat, Megan Racing made it to short, so you will have to get a tiny test pipe made between your cat and the b-pipe or just extend your existing test pipe (if you have one). Now the tip is kind of big but it fits fairly well with the cutout in the bumper, it has a fairly deep sound to it and does not drone with the silencer in, with the silencer out it is LOUD inside the car but not so much on the outside. Now for how it feels, well i did have a subject to test this thing out on tonight (sloppymax), I thought it was pulling a little harder but I wasnt sure, so I ran him tonight to make sure. Now prior to this I ran him and we were door to door, and that was with my stock heat range plugs in, now tonight with my colder plugs in I was able to pull away from him slowly, something I couldnt do before, you can really hear the y-pipe open up after 4500 with this exhaust on. Overall if you Are looking for an inexpensive cat-back that will deliver good gains and you dont really care about how big the tip is, then by all means get this. I will be call ing Megan Racing and telling them about the problem, Nealoc187 had the same problem, and hope fully they will corretc it so you guys wont have to go through what we did. Soryy for the long post.

Is it possible this catback was designed with the 97-98 maxima in mind? The 97-98 maxima uses a short "S" pipe behind the cat.
