What's the compression for a 99MaxSE-L?
I'm doing a compression check and i want to see what's going on with the engine and stuff, Anything else i should check while i'm there just to see if she is working up to date or if she is starting to go or whatever.
I just want to know where my car is on the grid from best to bad. TT |
I think VQ30DEs have 10:1 compression, but I may be wrong...

many max's have tested above 200psi. remember to account for altitude too in your test. for most people, under 500ft above sea level, they can safely assume 14.7psi, but for me, at 5300ft, it is nearly 12psi. i tested 145-150psi in each cylinder which equates to 175ish at sea level and a 10.5:1 ratio. you should get between 142 and 185 according to the FSM at sea level.
