0 psi in cylinder #6??????

I decided to do a compression test on my car tonight. I 150 psi in 2,4, and then 0 in #6. The piston was moving up and down fine.. What gives?

My friend had this problem with his Lexus, and it turned out to be that the exhaust valve had a missing piece. I hope it't nothing serious.

I would do a leakdown test to see where you are having a problem.

Was the motor running like absolute **** before you tested it? You wouldn't need a compression test to tell you the motor's fried with no compression in one cylinder.

If it was. Test it again. Same results then you've got a 1)burnt valve 2)holed piston 3)fried rings or worse things....

Yeah my car runs like **** now. It is 0 psi. Do you think I should rip it all apart? People warned me about boosting without guages. Somethign got very hot cylinder #2 spark plug electrode was white, #4 green-yellow??,#6 black and chunky. Thats not good. Im hoping for a burnt valve.

Wow... she's dead Jim.....

Next step would probably be to just pull the heads and take a looksie..

Could you hear any muffled backfiring when it was running? Probably an exhaust valve in that case...

What's the compression in the other cylinders?

when you have 0 psi in a culinder it is most likely that you ahve a hole in the piston. One way to check this is to do a cylinder leakdown test. If have excessive air coming out of the dip stick valve or even maybe the oil filler cap you have a bad piston, If its coming out the intake= intake valve exhaust = exhaust valve. But a good piston having put 100 psi in to it should hold no less then 10% difference of that piston.
