not as far as i know....And i believe that you have to pay extra to Warpspeed to get Stainless Steel, while for 160 dollars to budget, you get a full T-304 Stainless Steel Y-pipe, With great build quality, shipped to your door...I have heard little, if any complaints with the budget y...I have also heard that Warpspeed has CRAP customer service, although i cannot speak from experience

budget y-pipe is a great investment and a great upgrade. I don't know about warpspeeds but hear nothing but good things about them too. Warpspeed cost more though and have a lined flex section. I personally dont care about the little more sound budget gives off. You have to sacrifice comfort for performance.

IME, they actually have really good customer service. When I ordered, I was speaking to a guy who I assume was the owner, we talked for almost 30 minutes about the installation, what to do if bolts were rusted etc. Really nice guy

I agree with you on some parts (intakes for example), however many people felt the same way about UDPs and we see what happened there. A Y-pipe does require some precision, if the ends do not line up very closely you will never get it on and the exhaust does not have to be off by much to rattle and bang. The problems wth noisy flex sections and collapsed flex sections show quality is important.

That said, I don't think there have been any problems with budget other than the a slightly noisy flex section (didn't they fix that?) on the stainless steel pipes. Warpspeed can be slow to ship if they are out of stock otherwise there customer service is OK. I think either company will give you a quality Ypipe at a decent price.

So does anyone know for sure if the warpspeed and budget are equally quiet? Will you notice an increase in noise with the budget over stock? Does it sound like a rattle or just a deeper more throaty tone?

What do you think the other folks who were trying to call during that 30 minutes were thinking? Certainly not good customer service.

Dallas can be a bit chatty. They do have a person to answer the phone and take orders now, but I wonder how Dallas gets anything done when he is on the phone for so long. I did have fitment issues with my B-pipe that Warpspeed did not resolve, I ended up paying a muffler shop to fix it.

Are you affiliated with Budget or just a satisfied cusomer? They definatly need a cooler name. Have they fixed the noisy flex section problem yet?

If the flex section is buzzy the sound has been described as being like 'Bees in a can'. With a good lined flex section and rest of the exhaust stock it will only be slightly louder and deeper than stock, barely noticable.

I have no affiliation with Budget other than they have installed 2 complete exhaust systems for me and are great folks to deal with.

After I got the second on done this year (on my 95 last year they did my 97) they gave me a T-Shirt which I wore to the races last Sunday. After running a 12.6 lots of folks saw it when they came over to look at the car.

Also got lots of comments on the sound with the new Vibrant muffler its sweet.

Did you run the 12.6 on the 97 or 95? What did you do that dropped you from 13.1 to 12.6?

That's C$250 (~US$181). The Cdn/U.S. exchange rate affects what you actually pay in US greenback. Budget is a Canadian company so their prices are in C$. Maybe they should identify the currency on their site!

They are in Canada, the prices are in canadian dollars. They will vary with he exchange rate but I guess right now it works out to ~$181.

Does $181 include shipping? Also which intake matches up the best in rpm range gains with a y-pipe, CAI or hybrid?

All I know is that the exhaust guy who helped me (exhaust specialist, friend of a friend) put my Warpspeed aluminized Y on at his garage was like d@mn that thing is light and nicely designed(which it is.) While we were doing some guy's at a fire house came over and were like what are you guy's doin to that maxima, my wife drives one of those. I started it up after we had installed and they said damn that sounds great! (It sounds like a 3000gt with my Tsudo muffler) I told the guy about how much power it adds and about maxima.org. He went back to the fire house and surfed around the org for a while, then came back, talked to me somemore, then called his wife and told her she's driving his truck from now on and he is going to start modifying her car.

I also noticed that the WSP was totally straight unlike the Stillen that has a curve before the flex section (havn't scene the budget though.)

Since then with only some custom work done to the intake, I have beat my dads altima 3.5, aurora V8, Lincoln Mark VIII V8, 03 Accord V6 Coupe, and a 5-speed latest gen prelude with cat-back not to mention many more. It probably has more to do with the maintenance of my car, but when I lifted that Y-pipe and felt how light it was, and saw the efficient design I was very happy. But like others have said the budget serves the purpose of replacing two cats with a straight pipe so it does the same job.

I have warpspeed. never had a problem. never had the buzz sound that some have complained about with other pipes. mine was $225 aluminized steel which has a 3 yr rust through warranty. i was told that unless I live by the shore that it would last over ten years. my maxima prolly wont be with me that long so im not worried about it.

I have a WarpSpeed Y-Pipe and B-Pipe and have been very happy with both. I had no problem with installation and shipping was good. Yes, Dallas is not just an order taker, he talks to you, and to me, that is great customer service. If the phone is busy, call back or email him and ask him to call you (he called me within 24 hrs). I can't speak about Budget, but I highly recommend WarpSpeed.

u dont have to match the intake and y, just get a mid pipe or pop charger, those have been proven to be just as good as any thing else and are more cost effective

the guys at budget are really cool. when i got my y pipe installed there (they do it free), there are no restrictions at all on where you can walk. they let you walk ANYWHERE in the place...even while the guy was torching something under my car, i was next to him asking him stuff. i thought that was really cool (the places here in america like Sears and such are worried about liability and force the customer to remain in a sheltered area, most of the time, not fit for even viewing your own vehicle being serviced).

JIME: what else did you get installed into your car from there, how much did it cost (US) and how does it sound? I was thinking of getting a new exhaust to complement the y pipe, but was unsure of which ones are not too buzzy and loud since I hadnt researched enough. I wouldnt mind at all getting the entire exhaust from budget though since my experience there was good for the y pipe install.

Burlington, Ontario.

It's about a 30-40 minute drive from Niagara Falls,
and about another 30-40 minute drive to Toronto...
