NEED HELP QUICK!! Sunroof won't close

I opened my sunroof today, and then when I tried closing it, it wouldn't budge. The motor seems to be working, but it's not closing. I even tried holding the close button and while trying to push the sunroof forward to close it. Any help would be appriciated.:bawling:

OK, I just looked in the FAQ, and I was wondering if the symmptoms I described match what happened to deezo's cousin's sunroof. If so, does anyone recommend following their write up? Has anyone else followed it with positive results? I haven't taken anything apart from my car, and I'm a little affraid that if I were to do this, when the time comes to put everything back together it wouldn't fit right, ie there would be gaps and some rattles. So I guess, would anyone recommend that an amataur do this following deezo's write up? Thanks for all the help.

When I did this, it was my first time ripping the interior apart. Nothing to be afraid of, you just have to think about how much money you will save by not spending the $900 the dealers want to fix it.

crank it...

the owners manual says, "if the sunroof does not close" to use the small crank from the tool bag - take off the cover from the switch and crank clockwise to close... Be Safe, Mark V. :)

Re: crank it...

Between the write-up and the instructions included in the repair kit, it is an all day job, but very gratifying when complete. I did it and I have no problems whatsoever.

Thanks for everyone that replied. I may try fixing my sunfoor today, or maybe tomarrow. I went to a nissan dealership today and they said they would charge $240USD, about $400CND, to fix the sunroof. Should I still do it myself?
