gen II's black altezzas
 

gen II's black altezzas not the smooth ones i have the gen I's carbon fibers, i saw a pic of maximas with gen2's blacks looked like skyline tails but with a raised moulding around the four red circles, its driving me crasy cant find a seller for these lights PLEASE SOMONE HOOK ME UP thanks, BRIZ

Holy crap, the lack of proper spelling and some kind of punctuation is driving me crazy...


As for Gen 2 altezzas, you can get them at a host of places, ebay for one, custommaxima, and southwest autoworks i believe as well. Also, if all you saw was 4 circles, it was a custom job.

no... dangit! noone knows what i mean.... ok these lights mabey they are not gen two's mabey there a totally diff company but, the design is not flat its raised the circles sit lower than the rest of the light which comes out in a crasy style humm good idea for me to get a pic to show you all lets see if i can find one.

oh and my spelling, who cares i get my point across, i am in a hurry here too lol peace

Well I have Gen 2 CF's i got them at www.procarparts.com (ebay) there is also the pre-primed ones they got 2 that are basically the same. I think the ones you saw were a custome GEN 2 back job where he painted the outter plastic housing black. Not sure what the link for the pre-primed ones are begins with a T

gotta be elegante by tyc tails i bet, www.elegantebytyc.com i think, they look pretty nice. i wasnt able to find them online or find if they fit a 95-96. they come wiht a paintable bezel which could look pretty sweet

:thumbsup: :D that is exactly what he is talking about. i was about to post the same thing. i emailed them a while back and they emailed me back saying they did not yet have them. i couldn't wait so i just got cf altezzas.

ah too bad, do you know when they being released and if theyll fit 95-96?

On the website it says "95-99 Nissan Maxima" so I'm assuming they will but always thought they have different taillights, so its impossible to have 1 taillight for both cars...who knows

i know exactly what your talking about, i know a lot of people with those lights, they are generation 2...u said you were selling them???? or do you want to buy them???? because it is kind of unclear

I called TYC and they said that the 95-96 Elegante's are not even manufactured until Oct.

Those TYC Elegante's are awesome!!! However, has anyone thought of painting the silver part of the 1st gen altezza to match the car's exterior instead of painting the clear outter part of the lense? I believe you can pull them apart by baking them in the oven first. Pull the lenses apart, tape up the red parts, sand the silver area and paint. I might add this on to the list of projects I've yet to start for my Maxima. I gotta find a really cheap used 1st gen Altezza so that if it came out whacked, it wouldn't be such a big deal.

hey i like that 2DaMax... lookin' good... but maybe paint out the other too.. jus make it look like the skyline mod people do to the altezza...

Well I was thinking of this instead as another option to the above one. Paint the inside of the outter clear lense instead. Not only would this come out cleaner but its protected inside the lense from the outside dirt and other elements and pollutants.

There's just sooo many possibilities.

Or I can always do this to the stock '95 tails.

That looks cheesy...like you cut holes in some vinyl and slapped them on the lights. If you do do this then paint the amber red..

It isn't any different from this one I found on the net.

It is painted red in the picture and of course, I would paint the amber red if I decide to do so. But I most likely won't be. I'd rather paint the 1st gen altezza tails.

Still cheap IMO...different strokes for different folks. If anything I'd paint the 2nd gen altezzas..

any one try painting any lights on a white maxima? I'm worried that there will be a black out line of the lights making it seem odd.

what is the name of the lights that look like they have led's?

GenII Altezzas and BTW they are LED's :)
