Electrical Problem? Help!

Guys my taillight bulb the 1157 bulb right above the reverse light constantly keeps going out the HIGH filament side, I've replaced 4 bulbs now! What's up with this it's ticking me off, I accidently once put in a 1156 bulb which took out the fuse but I replaced the fuse the same moment, so I doubt it's the fuse because all the other bulbs are working. And also my low filament side of my headlight went out while I was driving tonight, so I had to drive on with my Highbeams. What's up with all this???

No believe me everytime I put in a new bulb it's brand new. I spoke with my mechanic he said I might need a new socket. Is that easy to put in, and how can a socket go bad afterall?

Sockets usually dont cause bulbs to burn out. Unless the 1157 socket is shorted and causing both philliments to burn constantly which will generate to much heat and prematurely kill the bulb.

The low filament side is working, for e.g. when the lights are on the bulb lights up, however, when I depress the brake pedal the bulb doesn't light up hence the high filament side not working. Could also be a result of the socket?
