how to open 96 Maxima's trunk?

besides using key directly?I looked everywhere yet still was unable to find the button/control for opening the trunk. Does it ever have such a thing, or just I didn't find it? Can anyone help me out? Cause I don't have the user manual. Thanks in advance!

i love mine, if it wasn't for that and my remote keyfob (which wasn't working until about 2 weeks ago), i wouldn't be able to open my trunk at all (for some odd reason, my car keys only start the car and open the passenger side door.)

Should be a big black square button under the driver's side door armrest.

I got the same problem with my key not opening the trunk. My only option is to use the button on the driver's side door.

Maybe you're using a valet key instead of the regular one.

naw, both of them don't do it. it really sucked when my keyfob was broken and only worked 5% of the time.

my friends old 95 GXE had the fuel door release button on the door panel where most of us have the trunk release... why would nissan change them?

I never liked the fact that someone could break my window, push the button, and then get to my stereo in the trunk.

I disconnected it a week after I bought the car.

One of these days when I feel like it I'll wire it so it can only be opened when the key is in.
