Stillen Oil Cooler kit - is it worth it?

After reading up on the Stillen site about the benefits of the oil cooler kit, I am sold on it. However I wanted to ask the opinion of the experts here before I think about buying it - since nothing from Stillen is cheap.

Is it worth it to get this? I burn a little bit of oil but performance does not seem to be suffering. Would this kit help in any way (whether I am burning oil or not)?

Also, are there any other alternatives to the Stillen oil cooler kit?

Thanks!

An oil temperature reduction of 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit can be realized with the installation of our specially designed Oil Cooler Kit. This Oil Cooler Kit allows hot oil to be circulated and cooled outside of the motor through a high efficiency cooler, reducing oil temperature from a typical 225 degrees to an optimum 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Thousands of miles of engine life will be added by keeping a "cool" coating of oil on high-wear engine components such as piston rings, piston skirts, cam bearings, and rod bearings. The Oil Cooler Kit is complete and includes all the necessary adapters, fittings, and hoses you will need for installation.

I'm not sure the benefits are worth the cost. I'd probably get one if I had a supercharger or turbo but NA I doubt it'll do too much.

Re: Stillen Oil Cooler kit - is it worth it?

The stillen kit is about twice the price of cheaper, similar "not-cool-$till3n-brand" oil cooler kits. If you're concerned with the price but still want to throw on something that will aid you engine, buy a more reasonably priced one.

I wouldn't spend the money on Stillen.

Do get one but save $$$.

If not Stillen, then what other options do I have, that are as good, but for cheaper?

Also, that's a good point about Winters... I live in Canada (South Western Ontario) where the Winters aren't THAT harsh, but we do get our cold days... how would this work then?

Is it switchable or is it always working to cool the oil?

i would think it would take much longer to warm up the oil to normal operating temperatures in the winter. thus putting a bit more strain on the engine untill it warmed up...
