Eibach or HNR's???
 

okay guys...maybe this will be a heated debated.

I'm going to do a drop since i just got 18s and the wheel gap is so huge. A lot of people i know have the Eibach springs, u know the 1.5" drop. I hear that HNR has the same drop and that the springs are better. Some people even consider the Eibach springs bull----. Can you guys post your experiences, and also if anyone has an alternative to the 2 be free to post your experience as well...just remember im only looking for a slight drop.

the h&r's will give u a softer ride then the eibachs and are a better spring IMO...i had them with some agxx's....worked very well..

do u know exactly where i can get the HNR's online... i know i found eibachs on redlinemax for only 200.

Both are top notch springs. Eibachs will give you slightly better handling with a trade off of a slightly firmer ride.

im still debating between the 2 springs though, because i dont want something to stiff, i should probably just go with the H&R's. The Eibach springs are more prefirable for performance such as dipping around corners...

since i have 18s now i just want to close up the gap and get a comfortable ride...guess its H&R's for me

Sounds like a wise choice, make sure you also get a set of shocks that are in the "should be paired with" sentance on that page. Springs and shocks go hand in hand if you want to do it correctly.

do you think i should just save up enough money so i can get the shocks at the same time? or can i get the springs and then the shocks about a month later?

i dont care what everyone says eibach sit way lower then the H&R springs but h&R are nice and soft

Buy them together, installation will cost you $200, and you'd probably be better off not paying that twice, unless you are installing yourself.

i thought eibachs sat at like a 1.8 drop. either way go with the H&R definately, i see no difference from stock comfort, and the handling is amazing. Also, there is no noise what so ever, but i always wrapped the coils in that plastic wire cover you get from radio shack, id recomend that to stay on the safe side if noise drives you crazy. If you are paying someone for the install i would recomdend getting aftermarket shocks cause your stock will not last long with any lowering spring. My suggestion for those would be kyb agx... with H&R's i think you have the best combo for a smooth sporty balance.

Both springs are progessively rated. My friend has the eibachs with tokico blues and it rides like sh**. I've hade the H&R with tokico blues and the ride wasn't as stiff as the Eibachs. Now I'm running AGX with progess springs, which have a 1.7" drop in the front and 1.5" in the rear. I'm also on 18's and live in Jersey and I can say it is probably the best ride you can get on dropped suspension.

Before I had H&R and KYB shock combo. This combo is pretty comfortable ryde and not much bounce. If your like me and like dragg'n then I decided to do Tokico illumina and Eibach combo. I like the T.I. and Eibach's better...

im starting to get a little more confused now lol...sounds like tokicos are pretty good..i only want a small drop though, progress and others are too much of a drop for me...i like them on other cars but not mine

when I put H&R's on my 95 with stock shocks and wheels. It drove just as smooth with less roll around the corners. They are equally as good and are both german made, So its really about the type of ride you are going for. The Eibach's will prolly be a little more sportier with the harder ride, but the H&R's ride is nice.

Tokico Illuminas are probably the best shocks short of Konis (which require cutting of the stock shock housing for installation)

yea...i checked that site, i think ill go with the H&R's and the combo they listed and ill most likely ride the stock shocks for a month
