I think we talked briefly at the shop last week. Car looks very clean, but I think it still needs to be lower. Maybe the springs will settle down over time.

:sprint: i whole heartedly agree but for $200 i can't complain at all. i think it will settle some more, as my brothers car did, but we'll see.

as for the ride, its just a tad stiffer than stock but handles at least twice as good if not more, body roll is reduced tremendously

nismos14 Aug 20, 2003 03:45 PM

added a before pic, soybeanz was ur's the blue se?

I'd like the tad stiffer that you refer to, but how (un)comfortable in your opinion is it over bumps compared to stock?

nismos14 Aug 20, 2003 05:29 PM

if the road is ridiculously bumpy, you'll feel it alot more, the slower ur going the worse than stock it will feel, but once ur cruising u will be just fine, it will feel like stock

Looking good my friend

special thanx to you! and im still in awe of how ur car drives! lol

i know it doesnt look THAT low, but it's more for performance than for lowness, and its doing very well, i like the stance it has now, and i think it will be just perfect after it settles in fully

I had a guy at the shop take it for a ride today, he also came back completely shocked at how my car rides. He comment was "It rides better then a stock Maxima on the highway."

It took me 2.5 years to figure it out, but it was worth it.

Your drop looks better in person then it does in those pics. Your wheel wells are even all around, making your car look finished, not lowered. That's what will set it apart from the others. Of course there's the handling benefit too. :D

haha i bet he was like ! 2.5 years of hard work paid off  yeah I agree I will eventually get some better pics, plus the car is all clean now ;) and I totally agree with the finished vs. lowered statement! i'm sure i'll be seein u at the next meet! where we'll be able to oogle at how clean ur car is again lol

nismos14 Aug 21, 2003 09:46 AM

how long would it take for the springs to really settle in?

ilumo Aug 21, 2003 12:38 PM

nice... looks very clean man. Mine probably sits higher than yours does. Im glad that you like it :) and yes, Tom's car looks like it just came outta the showroom floor.

btw, im the one with the neptune blue se. soy was the one with the white SE.

nismos14 Aug 25, 2003 03:40 PM

ahh sweet, ur car was really nice man! and i liked ur cousins too!

Nismotic Aug 25, 2003 06:57 PM

im 99% sure i want H&R's, but in those pics, they STILL look high. Will they settle down in the future? and if so, how far further will it drop. Its hard to give up the drop from my ground controls for the drop on the H&R's, but im willing to do so.

Progress or H&R's??????? DUN DUN DUN!

nismos14 Aug 25, 2003 07:00 PM

i think because im a 5 spd, that the front sits JUST a tad higher than it would on an auto, but it may still need time to settle i dunno, but i drove it for almost 1000 miles already and i think its as settled as low as its gonna go, more pics will be taken soon.

bluestealz Aug 25, 2003 11:20 PM

how much did u pay for the tokico blues? because i was thinking about the H&R setup...i might pay 150 for a used set (1 year) (also have to make a post about that) and i wanted to do everything all at once. and i would like to know if this is best combo witht he H&R's?

nismos14 Aug 25, 2003 11:37 PM

i think its the second or third best combo with the h&r's and it also depends on what ur lookin for in ride quality as opposed to comfort so heres what u can get with the h&r's
1) H&r's + tokico illuminas = amazing handling characterisitics, and great response, little to no body roll
2) H&r's + kyb agx, firmer than illuminas, and very good handling as well, but not as good damping as the illuminas
3) H&r's + tokico blues - as stock like as ur going to get with a drop, very smooth and precise handling less body roll, but not completely alleviated

i got the blue's for free, my bro gave me his, and i don't know how much he paid for them sorry!

danimsta Aug 26, 2003 01:28 PM

nice
i want h&r also, but i want a lil more of a drop

i must say though
gettin tokicos for free must be nice!!!

ps- car looks brand new! lol nice man

nismos14 Aug 26, 2003 05:08 PM

i agree i would be happier with a lower drop, but the other day i scraped my y pipe on a speed bump, so any lower and i'd have alot more trouble on speed bumps, im satisfied with this setup

gettin the tokico's for free was awesome

haha i just washed it after coming back from montreal and its still sparkling

SXN Aug 26, 2003 05:22 PM

its better to get the stance right, and a handling improvement (apparently a pretty big one from what u said) than to just drop it like nuts

nismos14 Aug 26, 2003 05:36 PM

:sprint: :fro:
