HELP: EXTREMELY poor gas mileage with NEW O2 sensor !!

yes i know alot of gas milage threads have been posted but this 1 is different, this 1 is caused by installing a new o2 sensor
wtf is going on guys?
i had nissan change my rear passenger side o2 sensor 2 weeks ago because ECU gave me code. this is my 3rd new o2 sensor in 2.5 months. the only one that hasnt been changed is the rear drivers side. not only my gas mileage has not improved, it has actually gotten WORSE. before i change my o2 sensor, i was driving with a bad sensor for weeks. prior to changing the o2 sensor, i got 300 miles by using 15.92 gallons of gas!

today i filled up the tank and noticed that i had traveled 280 miles and had used 16.3 gallons! what is funny is that this time i had MUCH more freeway driving. at least 60 miles of it was droven on the freeway vs my last tank which was only about 20 freeway miles ( this means a good 35-40 miles per tank difference!). why am i getting bad mileage with new o2 sensor? i have the lightest foot, ud never see my RMP go above 2 and im getting such poor results when im not even puttin the pedal to the metal! i should get alot better mileage. i think the fact that nissan replaced this sensor for free this time has to do something with this, could they have replaced it with a used one or have fooled the ecu to recognize it as a new sensor or something? help plz. thanks

I thought the rear one (or two for your Cali spec) didn't effect the gas mileage?

The front O2 sensors have to do with the mileage...

Do a tuneup with NGK plugs. Raise your tire pressures a little. Go dump in some BG44k fuel system cleaner

speaking of tire pressure!
i was driving for a month on a flat tire. well i shouldnt call it flat because a nail was stuck in it and it barely let out any air. even then i had better mileage than now!
my odometer reads 24,901 miles, u think i need a tune up already? i've been using chevron with techron gas, 3 gallons of it. the techron in that gas should have cleaned my system and improved gas mileage. dont u think so? i mean, all those things wouldnt make a 35-40 miles per tank difference in a month, would they?
