flip key w/ remote

flip key w/ remote

so i was looking at this the other day...http://home.earthlink.net/~hliu12/Pr...roduct_10.html

and it says that you can send them your remote and they will program it for you. my question is, if i buy this can i program the remote myself?

Good find. But scary. They don't sound overly confident about the compatibility. And the key doesn't say Nissan on it - that would bother me. But that is pretty cool.

seems like a good idea but what happens when it stops working? do you have to mail it back and have it reprogrammed?

yeah i dont know..like when you change the battery or something..i wouldnt want to send it back every damn time. but if i could easily reprogram it myself, like the OEM keyfob then there wouldnt really be a problem.

You can not program it yourself. The reason I am not confident about the programming is because it is not designed for our stock alarms. It generally can not support aftermarket alarms because it is a simple remote w/ single frequency whereas your average aftermarket alarm will incorporate multiple frequencies. It will also not lose its programming when replacing a battery. You are buying the flip key basically, not the remote portion.

yup.. its a good deal. For 35 u get a key and a remote. All of the functions of the stock OEM remote will work, so its cool. Plus it look nice
