Attention Sterling Mist Owners !!

Recently i have been too picky on my rear bumper. it seems like my rear bumper is a different color. its darker than the body. the front bumper's color is exactly the same as body and i was just wondering if your rear bumpers are a little darker too or is it just me? could this be caused by material used in the bumper? if so then is the material used in front bumper different than rear bumper (since front matches the body and rear bumper doesnt)?

its easily seen if u look at it when the car is sitting in sun. the rear bumper is a little DARKER type of sterling mist. please tell me how ur color is. im becoming suspicious!

thanks!

Edit: look at the color from the side and its easily seen. if u look at it from trunk, then u wont be able to tell!

I don't think I've seen that on my sterling. The only discoloration I have is some black scratches. :( But no overall color changes that I've seen.

my back bumper is actually a little bit lighter in color than the rest of the car

:edit: nope, now that I look at it, my rear is darker than the front..

well when my car got hit they replace both of the bumpers. The first time I saw it after they fixed it I notice a major difference in the color from the bumper to the body. I told the tech to redo the bumper, they repainted it and it matches quite well. They try to tell me that because of the fact that the bumper and the body was different material, it will come out that way, anyway I b*tch to them and they got it finnaly to match okay.

1st owner of my car said that this car had never been in any accidents of any kind. i also did carfax and it didnt tell me anything bad. so why my rear bumper is darker??

edit: my bumper is exactly fit in place. its not sticking in/out on the sides. looks perfectly fine. i doubt there has been an accident, cuz if there had been then the bumper wouldnt fit in that nicely without sticking in, in 1 side and out on the other side, u know what i mean?

It's the flex additive in the paint that goes on your bumpers that causes the slight color difference.

Anyone know where to get a sterling mist spray paint to cover some scratches on a bumper?
