suspension

Ok, I bought this maxima for a good year round driver for me and my girl. I wanted a car that rides smooth yet can handle. I have a feelin I need new shocks so I was wondering what would be the best route to make it ride almost the same smoothness but with performance in mind. Is this gonna be like a smooth Honda and then put in aftermarket stuff in and then it rides rough? Thanks Let the flaming begin...

Handling pretty much goes in this order:
1. Performance tires
2. New performance oriented shocks
3. Sway bars and strut tower braces
4. Aftermarket springs or coilovers

All these parts are discussed in detail here:
