ACT chatter... might've made motor mounts go bad??
 

i've had the act clutch in my car for a month and a half now. it still grabs every bit as hard as it did the day it was put in. but from all of the chatter could've it made my motor mounts bad????? because it really shakes bad whenn starting from a stop, shifting quickly into 2nd and 3rd, down shifting into 2nd, and reverse.
i took into a local shop that i've always gone to and they said it looks like it move ways to much.


will place racing motor mounts kill this chatter and wheel hop a liitle?

Yes stiffer motor mounts will help cut the chatter caused by the clutch.

Stiffer mounts will help, just dont go solid, or near solid. It wont absorb any vibrations from the motor...


EDIT: i really wanna know why people claim to get all this chatter when ACT clutches only grab 3% harder than Exedy. I wouldnt think the 3% or so difference would create this chatter. Only chatter i get is a hint of chatter in reverse, and its barely noticeable...

the act clutch would be awesome if it didn't have so much chatter.

Im really thinking of switching my ACT to Stock because of the chatter...I release the clutch all the time and dont move sometimes cause of all the chatter...it sucks

and I filled the mounts with Poly
