Car won't start
 

Hey Guys,

Two days ago my wife's 1996 Maxima SE produced a CEL light. The car apparently drove fine for two days as it took her that long to mention the CEL. Earlier in the year, I had noticed a hesitation problem at around 3500rpm. I guessed it was the EGR, but, kept putting off fixing it. Anyway, the car doesn't start now. I checked the ECU codes and it shows a 0304 (Knock Sensor) and a 1005 (EGRC Solenoid Valve). My question is this: Would either of these cause the engine to turn over but not start? The resistance on the KS was 550 - 601.

I'm a little surprised things would get this bad this quick.
