PICS of my RED Gauges-Updated

Here is the finished product. Put 5 Red 164's in. Let me know what you think.

yeah wouldnt it be kinda hard to read? i guess it dont really matter though. all your basically looking at is the needle and where its pointing. my eyes would hurt after looking at those things for a day.

Looks hot, thats what I want to eventually do to my interior when I have time and I won't freeze my ***** off in the snow doing it. did you do the rest of the interior or just the gauges?

Where did you buy the 5 bulbs??? And would they have them in blue out of curiosity???

nismomaxima97: Yeah, they had blue ones too, almost go those but at the last minute got the red one, guess i had BMW in my mind or something. I got them at Kragen autoparts store, $.2.50 a pair.

Aw that sucks Kragen autoparts doesn't ship outside the U.S. Oh well guess I'll have to find another place. Here's a question if I get the blue 194's is it gonna make that big of a difference cause don't the 194's behind the cluster come tinted in blue already and they show up white??? So are these truly blue and not masked blue like the stock bulbs???

you did the mod to fit 194s? they look good, i got the stock gauges still...so red on black would be nice. Someone do this with blue so i know what it looks like

The brand i got had red and blue ones, i'm pretty sure that the blue ones would show up blue. i think your talking about the Hyper white bulbs, look blue but burn white with a hint of blue.

You only have to do that MOD for 97's and up.

The brand is "Victor" and they are regular red 194 12v bulbs, On the back of packaging, Says "Offroad use only"

Link to the mod to fit the 194's in the ole 99...if not that...whats a nice alternative. I want to change mine to blue.

nice....red is a good color since it does not mess with your night vision.....and im not talking goggles......but ability to see in the dark.

I might just do that....not sure tho.

i might go with a green scheme since i will be putting a modded xbox in my car.

One note, For some reason i blew my tail lights fuse,7.5. I really dont know what caused it. In case your tails, corners and fount turn signal don't work after changing the bulbs. CHECK THE FUSE.
