hey guys i'm gettin altezza's for my 96 maxima and i just had a question for you all who know more then me. can someone tell me what the difference between the ones from custom maxima and the ones on ebay. i've supplied some links for you if u guys could get back to me that would be great..thanks

In before the flames begin. There is no real difference, just different companies that make them. Buy the least expensive ones you can find.

i think they're all made at the same place, and just different sellers charge different prices.

wow...see its people like u that **** me off. all i did was ask for a reply from someone who knew what they were talking about. But anytime someone posts something about altezza's some idiot, like ur self, ends up bashing them and calling them ricers. why in the world would you say that. It just makes me realize how stupid somepeople are.. U said "i'm trying to make my car look "fixed up"". how dou know that 1. my car isn't fixed up. and 2. i'm not planning on doing the skyline mod to my tail lights. U DON'T. so stop makin jerks of yourselfs and stp bashing people everytime they say one word about altezza's.

What is there to know about altezzas? You don't need to be an expert to know they don't belong on a maxima.

for us 95/96 owners its either altezzas or stock orange lights...what would you pick? unless you're willing to pay the $300+ ive seen lately for our red/clears. and painting over the orange lens doesnt look much better then the orange. you 97+ owners are spoiled with custommaxima making your red/clear tails and gen2 altezzas

i agree, its not that we want altezzas, its that its our only logical choice, cause im sorry no tail light is worth 300 dollars.... so lets apply that to what someone above said. Does it look better for $300 worth (maybe for 150) so.. NO... Is it higher quality for 300 dollars NO.... thats an insane price to pay for them so you contradicted your seld slammed95 so stop being cocky cause you either blew a bunch on them or mommy and daddy bought them. Thats a y-pipe and or half way to a suspension mod or anything better than tail lights. So just be nice to us 95-96'ers we dont have any other choice, instead of bashing us, feel bad for us, in the end.. altezzas are better than those horrible stock ones.

i like altezza's much better than stock, and every1 that has seen my car in m,y surrounding as well. I often get asked if my 96 is a year 2000...lol.
Rmkomrath, what is important is if chicks dig it or not( i know 4 me it is worth it. Had avery intersting night once coz the girl thought i was loaded when she saw my car).Not wat other MALE max owners think. Let them pay 300$ 4 red clears. U pay 100$ and spend 200$ on taking chicks out...that's wat i did :) .

i wouldnt put altezzas on my car if someone paid me. stock amber looks much better IMO. just spend $10 and red them out then smoke 'em.

I would never get altezzas...soooooo tacky and cheap. If I had a 95-96 I'd shave the a$$ and smoke the stock tails like DaveB. Any real car enthusiast wouldn't put altezzas on their car...only a ricer would.

Jncoracer, im sorry but i have seen your post on here, about a variety of "ricer things" and you down talk all of them, but i recall you car had all them. So basically, you saw what everyone else was doing, and now you lost your ability to make your own decisions. In the end all im saying is why do you guys bash everything so much, just leave an opinion without making fun of someones elses cars, because no matter how much you hate it, its their time and work, the same you put into your car.

Jesus crist........Bro, the Cheaper ones leak in the inside meaing when it rains and what not, it cause condensation. usually the more expensive ones dont do that. My chrome ones I had before cost 250$ when they first came out, and never leaked.

Is this serious enough? Red/clears actually come factory on Hondas(AKA King of the ricers) not Altezzas. The first car with factory red clears was '90 Prelude and now the '02+ Civic. Altezza's come factory on Lexus'(IS300 and the SUV), so are they ricers, too? So who's really tryin' to be a ricer? Answer that before you bash. Get what you want, man. You bought your car. All of us don't need to look the same. I plan on doin' a 97-99 trunk conversion and gettin' gen 2 altezzas - not red/clears. I want a fully modded car with nothing that comes factory on anything. (except a few Maxima things of course.)

i don't get why people have to be mean about stuff. yes, altezzas are poor quality. i'll admit it, i had them. they eventually tarnished on the inside and eventually leaked. that can easily be fixed however with some silicone.

on some cars, they look good...while on others, they can look very tacky and cheap. i think it all depends. don't get me wrong, i love the nice clean look of red/clears, but on some cars, they too can be boring and bland. sure, they still look 10x better than stock, but they don't always do it for me either.

it's a lame argument that comes down to preference. i agree, some cars look down right ugly and cheap with them, but some cars also look decent with them too.

jetblackmax, oblongshapes, and another member jeremiah something with the white max with the body kit, and maxmojo are all cars i think look good with them. there are many more i can't think of offhand, but it can work.

if you don't like them, then ignore them or get over it. as william g said to me tonight, maxima.org, home of the haters. sometimes it's true...

Let me chime in. When people see altezzas now days they think "cheap/rice" thank you, drive through.

BTW: This is Maxima.org and we all have our opinions, but it has been said. "To each his own" ... just glad I dont drive a car with them...

red/clears - nice and clean, but slightly bland
chrome altezzas : horribly flashy, don't belong
gunmetal altezzas : very nice on a BLACK Maxima only....

Oblongshapes, I dont recall downtalking anything 'rice' except for the things on MY car. The taillights, the headlights, the colored interior...all things that have been on my car. These are things that I found to be astheticly unpleasing to the eye THROUGH EXPERIENCE. I have ben changing my car because in the past I was trying to make it look like something it was not. I'm not trying to bash on anyone, especially the 95/96 owners. We are an unfortunate group with few options. And where did I hate on someone elses car? I have no room to talk...have you seen page 2 of my home page? 'Nuff said.

altezza's do NOT belong on maxima's and you must NOT buy them.

If u gonna tell me that your only choice is to go with altezza then you must have problems. why would get rid of stock tails for stupid altezza? i know you 95-96 owners dont have any other choices but the stock is the best for yall and stay away from those ricey altezza's. ive seen plenty of em on maxima's around town and everytime i see 1, i wanna beat the $hit outta the driver. specially when the car is black and the altezza is all white/red
