Rear window won't roll up or down!

My rear window ('96 GLE) won't roll up or down. I was driving home and the damn thing just slid down. Anybody had this problem? Or even better, could somebody point me to a tutorial on how to fix it?

Probably the regulator... if you can hear the motor when you try to move it up or down, deff the regulator... pretty easy to fix

Yeah, I can hear the motor. Looks like 30 bucks for a new regulator. I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to put it in but any how-to's would be appreciated. Thanks nismomax.

why would you need a regulator? to me it sounds like the pane of glass slid out of the retainer that slides it up and down. You therefore just need to take off the door pannel, remove the weather proofing, fix it, and put the weather proofing back on

I havent taken the panel off yet to look at it but I hope I can just slide it back onto the regulator and expoxy the biatch pane to it. The regulator can be bought with no motor. Thats why it's only 30 bucks.
