http://www.oracal.com/products/produ...cat_ID=2&pg=97 paint code: 031 they have the option to look up a distributer too. I got huge roll from a hobby store for $20. |
Thanks Nadir, your tails look awesome. Did you cover the inner ones to match the outers? I have read the write-up on taping the tails. Vinyl tape, soapy water, hair dryer or heat gun, credit card and exacto knife. Any lessons learned you would share with us? Farewell to the Amber corners... Be Safe, Mark V.

thanks. I just tinted the ambers, that's all. It matched perfect and also at night they light up red, not orange or orange-red. The only advice I have really is... make sure u get the oracal one because I have bought some other generic brand of translucent red vinyl and it faded after a couple months. This one has been on for almost 8 months now and I continuously wash my car and it hasn't faded, bubbled or anything to make it look different than when I had first applied it. The hardest part is heating up the vinyl and stretching it around the corners to avoid bubble/air pockets... take your time! I was considering painting it at first, but this is not a permanent solution + there isn't any uneven texture like you would find with paint as well as an even perfect match gloss. |
